It is collected from April to June while it is dried and used all year round. In Crete it exists everywhere, especially in barren places. It is characterized as anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, soothing and of excellent quality antiseptic use. You usually consume it hot as a decoction in combination with other Cretan herbs, combining perfect relaxation and fighting insomnia.
